One of the wonderful things about my career is that I’ve worked in some great cities across America. And with that, have met a lot of wonderful people and found some great restaurants. Couple that with my passion to eat, and weight gain has always been a problem in my life.
I finally said “Enough!” when I went to a Peoria Pirates game one night and was asked to run out onto the field during a timeout and throw Subway sandwiches into the crowd. My first thought was, “The hell with that, I’m taking ‘em home!” (Shoot, the Hooters Girls were there, too, passing out a bucket of chicken wings, and all I could think about was the wings!) But soon the whistle blew, they opened the gate and I charged onto the field running as fast as I could for…oh…maybe..three steps. I could barely do the announcement over the wheezing I was doing after running three steps! I thought, “I need help.”
So, I attended my first Weight Watcher’s meeting Sept 9, 2002 and I think the pictures on this page speak for themselves! I remember announcing at our 1st Birthday party that I had lost 11 pounds, and then by the time I went on our Caribbean cruise, I had lost 30. I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
Update: "As of March 1st, I’ve lost 93 lbs. Thank you for all your calls of support!"
