With the terrorist attacks on the World
Trade Center in New York City, patriotism in this country soared.
And then with a California father filing suit to have “One
nation under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, and
the War On Terror, reaction has never been greater to take part
in one of the simplest, yet most effective ways to honor our country.
On September 11, 2002, we began this tradition of honoring America
with the Pledge, presented by various classrooms in our schools
after the 7:00AM weather. And now with America’s involvement
in Iraq and Afghanistan, and many Central Illinois service personnel
taking an active part in the Gulf, the tradition continues this
school year.
If your class or school would like to take part, call Rick at 309-676-5000 or email him at rick@rickstephenson.com Rick will set up an appointment to visit your school and record your class to play back on the air! |
